Notes: Sorin is a quiet but important figure throughout the series. His loyalty and love of his Prince is obvious throughout. I hope at some point we get to have a chapter or two (or book…) with some background on him, and notes from the author tend to lead us to believe that a mate may be in Sorin's future...

Notes: Fane is our first taste of what it is to be an "Alpha male werewolf". I must say he does a fine job of representing. He is warm, loving, funny, and fiercely protective of Jacque and those she loves.

Notes: Jennifer is a blond spitfire. She is smart, funny, subborn, and extremely loyal to those she loves. On more than one occasion she throws caution to the wind to do what she believes is the right thing. She has cheated fate by living, with the help of a very outrageous Fae (OoTD), and she has found out she has wolf blood burried deep down. After a lot of pain (physical and mental) she finally is able to bond and mate with Decebel, ending up becoming Luna to her own Pack even before Jacque.

Notes: Sally is the one who comes at you from left field on a regular basis. She punches Fane after making Jacque believe he died, she says things that you just don't expect her to say, and then she turns out to be a Gypsy Healer. Like her two best friends, she is sharp as a tack, and beyond loyal to those she loves.

Notes: Lilly has an ability to pick up on things, this is never fully explained. We do know that she grew up in a foster home, and didn't know who her real parents were. This leaves an opening for the author to come in later with something - or I may just be wishful thinking. Lilly lived with a werewolf knowing that one day, if he found his true mate, he would leave her. It just so happened that he leaves her a note and walks out of her life the very night she is going to tell him she is pregnant. Lilly understands the power of friendship, this is evident because she has Jen and Sally stay to listen in when she goes to explain to Jacque her real identity.

Notes: Vasile is the most powerful Alpha currently alive, yet he uses his power as needed, which might explain why he is Alpha over the largest Pack in the world. I enjoy the relationship he develops with each of the girls. It is obvious that he loves them as his own daughter, and from what I can tell the 3 of them bring out a side of him that might have stayed hidden otherwise.

Notes: Alina is a powerhouse in her own right. She is loving, giving, patient and definitely Vasile's better half. She is the voice of reason when Vasile needs advice, and she is Luna to her Pack. Alina is instrumental in making sure that Jennifer and Sally stay apart of the story when the girls leave America and move to Romania (BR).

Notes: The Coldspring Pack is not an official Pack as they have not followed the proper procedures to become "registered". In PoW, Vasile instructs the Beta that becomes Alpha after Lucas' death, to take care of this - however, in BR when Dillion asks Vasile if there is a local Alpha he needs to speak with about entering the territory, at this time they are still not official. It is assumed this is taken care of, but never addressed as it is irrelevent to the story. **Lucas does not actually show up in BR other than a mention.

Notes: We do not meet Jeff until the end of the challenge in PoW. Vasile names him the new Alpha of the Coldspring Pack, and informs him that he needs to get his Pack registered and in order. We run into him again, in BR when information is needed regarding the possible involvement of any Coldspring Pack members in the kidnapping of Jacque and Cynthia.

Notes: Dillon is not listed by name in PoW, however he is mentioned simply as Jacque's father starting in Chapter 1, and we know he is a werewolf because of the information provided in PoW. He is actually not introduced though until BR, where at first you might be tempted to hate him for the emotional turmoil he puts the gang through, it turns out he is actually a good guy just a bit in shock from finding out that he has a 17 year old daughter. Can't really blame him for a moment of "WTH?!?".

Notes: Logan appears to be on of the unmated male wolves who has been taken over by the darkness. He truly believes that bonding with Jacque will drive away the madness, but he never gets a chance to prove himself right. After abducting Jacque and Cynthia, he just seems to continually lose it. Once he sees Fane's marks on Jacque's back, he loses it and abuses Jacque - something a true mate would never do. In the end, Fane kills him and little else is ever mentioned of him. It is brought up in JOD briefly in a round-about way, but nothing specific.

Notes: Cynthia is Lucas' sister. She is devistated by the death of her brother, and even though Lucas was the one to challenge Fane, she still holds Fane accountable for Lucas' death. When she is presented with a chance to hurt Fane, she jumps on it and helps Logan abduct Jac. Because of her knowledge of Jac's health issues, she is herself abducted. She is nearly killed when she helps Jac escape. Jac forgives Cynthia of her part in the abduction and pleads for her life (JOD). Vasile spares her life, but strips her of her career and makes her come to the Romanian Pack location. This actually turns out to be a good thing for Cynthia. She ends up becoming very close to the core group, and appears to be quite happy with the direction her life is going.
